Examples:

My Labrador eats too much and is too chubby.
(eats more than it should and is chubbier than it should be)

Karen cannot reach Southampton in an hour; it is too far.
(in excess of what she can achieve in a hour)

I need to talk to you. Do not leave work too late.
("to talk" - infinitive verb / "to you" - preposition / "too late" - expresses the idea of lateness in excess)

I tried to catch you, but I was too slow.

'To' is used in expressions like 'to walk', 'to run', 'to paint', etc. (These are all verbs in their infinitive forms.)

The word 'to' has two uses. The first use of 'to' is to show the infinitive form of a verb. (The second use is as a preposition.)

Examples:

There are many options to consider.
("to consider" in its infinitive form)

Anthony has to find a gift and join the party.
("to find" in its infinitive form)

I explained why I had no time too do my homework.
(should be 'to do')
