more practice:past perfect or simple past?
1. I went to Paris two days ago. I (already/be) --------------- to Europe several years before.
2. We ate Chinese food for dinner last night. My mother (buy)-------------- in the supermarket.
3.She is very tired; she (go)------------------ to bed late last night.
4. Her bus was late. When she arrived at school, the lesson (start)--------------------------.
5. When we arrived home, the door was open. Someone (break through)---------------------------- it!
6. When she came back home, the kitchen was spotless. Her daughter (clean)----------------- it.
7. Last Sunday,we (do) our homework then we (go)-------------------- to the cinema.

3.She is very tired; she went to bed late last night.
4. Her bus was late. When she arrived at school, the lesson had started.
5. When we arrived home, the door was open. Someone had broken through it!
6. When she came back home, the kitchen was spotless. Her daughter had cleaned it.
7. Last Sunday,we did our homework then we went to the cinema.
Is it right ??

Well done ,Abderrahmane! You're right;the second sentence is a bit awkward and needs to be restructed. can you make better constructed and less awkward?

never mind! you were doing quite well , but it still needs to be reconsidered.What if it started with
"Last night,we ate ............." for the relative clause "which my mother had bought......." to get a bit closer to its referent "chinese food"?
